Waupaca Foundry is proud to support the next generation of ambitious leaders by providing scholarships to students in Waupaca Foundry communities. This year, we awarded $39,000 to 26 deserving high school seniors.
Recipients of our 2020 scholarships include:
Waupaca, Wisconsin - Headquarters, two gray iron foundries, and machining plant
Alissa Reetz ($2,000) – Waupaca High School graduate. Alissa will study Business at UW-Oshkosh this fall. Her father, Adam Reetz, works in the melt department at Plant 2/3 and has for 25-years.
Kyle Pulvermacher ($2,000) – Waupaca High School graduate. Kyle will be attending UW-Stevens Point to study Mathematics. Kyle received the Outstanding Waupaca Senior scholarship from Waupaca Foundry.
Hannah Melum ($1,000) – Iola Scandinavia High School graduate. Hannah will attend Madison College and is enrolled in the Pre-Professional Health Program. Her father, Mike Melum, works in maintenance at Plant 2/3 and has for 26-years.
Autumn Heisler ($2,000) – Waupaca High School graduate. Autumn will be attending Milwaukee School of Engineering to study Software Engineering. Her father, Mike Heisler, a 26-year employee who works in the millroom at Plant 1. Autumn is an IT intern this summer.
Kendyll Eskildsen ($2,000) – Waupaca High School graduate. Kendyll will be attending UW-Stevens Point to study Art and Design this fall. Her father, Brian Eskildsen, a 25-year employee, works in the IT department.
Marinette, Wisconsin – Ductile iron foundry
Katelyn Kitzinger ($2,000) – Marinette High School graduate. Katelyn will be attending UW-La Crosse to study Health and Science / Medical Field. Her father, Steven Kitzinger, is our tooling engineering manager and a 39-year employee.
Sandra Boulton ($2,000) – Carney-Nadeau High School graduate. Sandra will be attending Bay College to study Radiology Technician. Her father, Todd Boulton, is a 27-year employee and a team leader in the millroom.
Bryan McClurg ($1,000) – Marinette High School graduate. Bryan will be attending Northwest Technical College and is enrolled in the Welding program.
Jacob Gordon ($1,000) – Peshtigo High School graduate. Jacob will be attending Northwest Technical College and is enrolled in the CNC program.
Tell City, Indiana – Gray and ductile iron foundry.
Emma Eubank ($1,500) – Heritage Hills High School graduate. Emma will be attending Ball State University to studying Cellular and Molecular Biology. Her father, Jeff Eubanks, who works in engineering, is a 25-year employee.
Tia Mockobee ($1,500) – Boonville High School graduate. Tia will be attending Ivy Tech to study Business Administration. Her father, Scott Mockobee, is a 14-year employee who works in quality.
Austin Snyder ($1,500) – Tell City Jr/Sr High School graduate. Austin will be attending Brescia University to study Accounting. His mother, Karen Snyder, is a 24-year employee who works in human resources.
Carina Kessens ($1,500) – Tell City Jr/Sr High School graduate. Carina will be attending IUPUI to study Neuroscience.
Dalton Lampert ($1,500) – Northeast Dubois High School. Dalton will be attending the University of Evansville to study Neuroscience. His father, Dave Lampert, is a 4-year employee who works in maintenance.
Charles Peter ($1,500) – Tell City Jr/Sr High School graduate. Charles will be attending Owensboro Community Technical College to study Industrial Maintenance & Hydraulics. Charles is the winner of the Stephan Lochner Technical Scholarship. His father, Joe Peter, is a 16-year employee who works in the stockroom.
Baily Little ($1,500) – Tell City Jr/Sr High School graduate. Baily will be attending Brescia University to study in Speech-Language Pathology.
Lucas Labhart ($1,500) – Tell City Jr/Sr High School graduate. Lucas will be attending IUPUI to study Computer Engineering.
Etowah, Tennessee – Ductile iron foundry
Timothy Canote ($1,500) – McMinn Central High School graduate. Timothy will be attending Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Athens, to study in Automotive Technology.
Riley Bowman ($1,500) – McMinn Central High School graduate. Riley will be attending Lee University to study Business Administration.
Katie-Grace Reynolds ($1,500) – McMinn Central High School graduate. Katie will be attending Tennessee Wesleyan University to study Dental Hygiene.
Brandon Clunie ($1,500) – McMinn County High School graduate. Brandon will be attending Hanover College to study Business Management.
Mackenzie Newman ($1,500) – McMinn County High School graduate. Mackenzie will be attending the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga to study Early Childhood Education and Psychology.
Austin Hicks ($1,500) – McMinn County High School graduate. Austin will be attending Cleveland State Community College to study Nursing. His father, Lee Hicks, who works in the maintenance department, is a 3-year employee.
Effingham, Illinois – Machining Center
Alan Hazelton ($1,000) – Effingham High School graduate. Alan will be attending Lakeland College to study Pre-Medicine. His father, Scott Hazelton, is a 19-year employee who works in management.
Lucas Hagler ($1,000) – Effingham High School graduate. Lucas will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to study Business. His father, Alex Hagler, is a 16-year employee who works in maintenance.
Boston Roberts ($1,000) – Casey-Westfield Jr/Sr High School graduate. Boston will be attending Lakeland College to study Nursing. His father, Shawn Roberts, is an 8-year employee who works in maintenance.
